Brooks Robinson ALCS, WS and League Leader Poll
So the 1962 all-star card pulled it out in the end in what was a competitive race. The new poll will consist of playoff, World Series and league leader cards. This should be an interesting group.

Man this was a tough one as I like all of them even the one’s where the O’s lost. I ultimately ended up going with the 67 WS card. Seeing Brooks get some serious air time pushed it over the top. The 71 WS was extremely close showing Brooks doing what he does best. The colors on the 72 are real nice and the 71 playoff card shows him in a rare fielding pose. Love to hear what is your favorite.

'67 WS card without a second of extra thought. The iconic photo from the first title my team won.

This one was the toughest yet. With a couple days thought I went with the ‘72 since it has Brooks with the short brimmed helmet, eye black and met by Belanger to congratulate with the fans lovin’ it in the background. What’s not to like...

I love the photo on the '67, but the cropping (taking off Brooks' head), drops it out of first place for me.
I eventually settled on the 1971 WS card, which in itself is kind of crazy with the cropping that Topps did (or didn't do). However, I've got a signed copy of this card and the dirt background allows the signature to show up spectacularly. '72 is a little too darky, and the '65 leaders cards, while cool, are just too 'heady'. |
I thought for sure someone would pick the RBI Leaders since it has Mantle pictured as well.

Poll closes at 3:45 today so don’t forget to vote. Looks like the 71 is running away with it so far.

Clint,
I don't think any of my selections have won so far... |
