COMC shipping question
 

Hi All;

I purchased three cards from COMC on 3/8. I rarely buy from them. When I was looking at the order I found this:

My question is, is it normal for them not to ship until 15 days after the order is placed?

If any of the items are from Dean's Cards then COMC will let you that there will be a 1-2 week delay while they wait for Dean's Cards to send it to them, otherwise they are usually very fast.

They have been slammed on their regular shipping since they opened up Ebay auctions at the beginning of the year. So no, it's not common, but is currently as they fight through a backlog.

Last week my order had the same status as your order. It looked like it hadn't shipped yet 10 days after I placed the order. When I went to my mailbox on that day, the package was in my mailbox.

Yeah, what Rick said. I had posted virtually the same thing as the OP last year as I couldn't believe it was going to take something like 10 days or so for my stuff to be mailed from COMC, let alone delivered. But very soon after...BOOM!!!...there it was in my mailbox.

November 2018... my delivery was here BEFORE the original proposed shipment date. Nine days after my request to ship.

February 2020... shipped a week after the original estimated date. Arrived three weeks (more or less) after request to ship.

Their business has picked up for sure. I am not complaining about shipment times, I'm usually in no hurry. And the pack very well.

WOW they are something else...only with an eBay 15% promo would I ever give them a nickel....sure enough, I did purchase three items on 4/4 with it. Estimated delivery date today 4/9. No tracking provided at all, even after I requested it 24 hours ago. Please - no COVID excuses - if you list on eBay, at the very least, you truly need to communicate in a timely manner, even if you do not ship in a timely manner. I am done with COMC (unless my next eBay promo is 75% off:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::

I just bought 6 cards yesterday. Says June 2nd shipping.......

Do people get that their staff is 80% sitting at home because of the Washington governor's degree? Is it really that important to get your cards within hours?

I just bought a couple of cards from them. The order arrived quickly, no problems. Maybe I was just lucky ?
I have bought a few things from them before. Also, no problems, no complaints

Missing the point
 

Of course not, however, if you are going to CHOOSE to be active on eBay, fair and reasonable in these difficult times is not out the window. A tracking number should be provided within five days of receipt of payment....no? As should simple communication from an employee sitting in front of a computer screen anywhere. Five days more than fair and reasonable in these times IMO.

If they are so far behind on filling orders and so far behind on scanning their new submissions, why do they currently have 987 active auctions on eBay? When they sell, they will be even further behind.

I have orders from 3/4, 3/8, 3/18, and 3/25. The 3/4 and 3/8 orders involve Deans Cards and have not even been shipped, the 3/18 order was shipped and received fairly quickly, and the 3/25 is just now being shipped. It looks there is a problem with COMC getting the cards from Dean’s.

That's a great question. I think they should have stopped listing new auctions and just let the ones that were live run to finish. But then, they haven't stopped selling BINs on eBay either, and those would be easy to turn off/turn on. I would have recommended they set their eBay account to "Vacation Mode", but then, I don't work for them.
