1969 Topps errors

I would appreciate any help with correctly identifying these anomalies.

Are they proofs? Blank backed cards from sheets that missed the back print at the factory? Altered cards that had the backs removed? or some other aberration?

Thanks for any help.

Best regards,

Joe

Hi I hope this info helps in solving your mystery.

Attached is a pic of 5 1969 blackless and backless proofs (against a white background to show color).

Although the backs were pinkish in 1969 it looks like it wasn't related to the cardstock as my proofs have a similar color as your pics.

In my opinion you have finished front proofs or unprinted blankbacks. Anybody out there have any pink blankbacks (pink colored but no print)? I haven't sent any...have seen some very light, almost white/tan backs with print in circulation.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7c3ab86a31.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0a28fd88ce.jpg

Nice cards, ejstel. Noticed that seller Kristianstrom on COMC has a bunch of graded proof cards from the 60s and 70s for sale at a big discount right now if this is your type of collection:

But I agree, they're printing proof blank backs which were taken home and hand cut.

Thanks!...got there just before the discounts came off.

Sorry it took me a while to thank ejstel and swarmee for their help identiying these cards. With all of the craziness going on this is the first time that I have checked back on this thread. Much thanks!

Best regards,

Joe
