Help with Media guides and Game programs
4 Attachment(s)
So I got these items as part of a larger lot. I'm not a paper collector so I'll most likely list them for sale but wanted to know what they are worth...
All are Chicago Bears related with media guides, 2 game programs and a HoF game program and ticket. Thanks in advance with any help! |
Media guides
I looked at the sold listings on eBay for the 1963 guide. It was listed at $24.99 or best offer, so it probably sold for less than $24.99. There are 3 or 4 active listings in the $30 to $40 range, but they probably won't sell for that.
The 1950's guides will sell for a little more, and the 1970's for a little less. Roughly $200 to $300 for the entire lot, unless there is a more valuable one in the lot that I am not aware of. |
Rusty I buy and sell guides every day. I think Rick is very close. That 1963 is popular but that copy is not in great shape, I would think 10-15 might be reasonable.
The Bears guides are by far the most common of all 50's and 60's NFL guides. A curious side note is that you would think they would be less common, Halas was noted for being cheap but they seem to have produced a large number of guides? Also in the early 1960's the Bears offices were ravaged by a fire. You often see early Bears guides and programs with fire damage. I have found the 1950's Bears guides a little more common than the early 60's, maybe more were in circulation before the fire? I would say $15-25 for the pre-65 guides $10-15 for the later issues. The Hall of Fame program probably $20-25. Good luck on all your sales. |
