Podcasts

My kids have gotten me into podcasts. Would be phenomenal if there was a great vintage card podcast to listen to on the treadmill, train, etc. See a couple for modern.

I believe theres The Monster Podcast on Soundcloud or themonsterpodcast.com and then another from Tom Zappala with PSA.

You should try a few on Apple. No charge, and usually a civilized long form discussion of something. And unlike most TV talk shows its not people screaming over each other at the top of their lungs. Got into them a few years ago driving cross country with my son.

Dr. Beckett does a podcast in which he mostly talks about older subjects with a few new ones tossed in. 15 minutes or less:

Leon is featured, probably in more than one, but I caught his name on #139

I'm up to a 3-podcast-a-day habit at this point but haven't tried anything related to the hobby yet.

Although if you looked at me you would not think it is so, but I walk about four miles every morning. I listen to podcasts all the time. I have not found a vintage card podcast I like and I am not even sure it would be possible as cards are a visual medium, but if you're a little irreverent, I suggest The Eephus Podcast. It is no longer being produced but there are more that 100 episodes in the can and some of them are informative even to a deep baseball fan.

Funny you mention that -I'm developing one as we speak. I'll roll it out here. Because many people learn differently, I'm going to flip the transcriptions and visuals up on a site as well.

As long as the subject matter is vintage baseball, I will be a weekly listener. I listen to podcasts on my bluetooth radio every night before bed.

Eephus Podcast is great.

Beckett

Beckett and Rich Klein do a podcast . A bit too much filler and sponsor promotions but a few good diamonds in the rough

Youtube

I find YouTube a better place to find card talk, etc.
