Trying to locate unique stolen 1934 Goudey Gehrig #61
1 Attachment(s)
Let me start by saying I'm new to the forum (registered an hour ago) and I already love what I see! Someone in a Facebook group suggest I post this here as well, hopefully someone has seen it!
I was wondering if I could enlist everyone’s help. In 1998-2000 timeframe my younger brother broke into my stuff at my parents and stole some memorabilia while I was at college and pawned it for drug money on his way from Michigan to Arizona. Specifically the most sentimental piece was a 1934 Goudey Gum Lou Gehrig #61 - someone had cut the corners off of it some decades earlier so it was very poor condition but if I could find a way to use the power of the internet to locate and reacquire it (I would buy it again) that would be excellent! I have added a picture for reference with marks to show where I think the cuts were made (memory isn’t what it was). Longshot but why not put it out there! |
Welcome to Net 54
Sorry to hear about your loss and the circumstances around it! his forum is your best bet, but would also take a look at blowout forum as well:

Thanks yeah I know it’s unlikely but why not put it out there!

Did someone you know cut the corners? My dad had a few playballs that were cut down to play a game where the pitched the cards against a wall. Leaners were a winner as well as closest to wall..
