Storage Question. Top Loaders
Anyone know the difference between Ultra Pro and BCW Top Loaders? Is one better or safer for vintage cards?

In my experience, quality control is slightly better for Ultra Pro, but other than that I've never known there to be a huge difference.

If you are going to go the route of top loaders (and I do for some stuff), I would recommend putting the card in a soft sleeve before putting it in the top loader. This will help avoid the card getting scratched from the top loader.

I have never to my knowledge bought BCW products, because the LCS’s and even Walmart seems to have a lock on Ultra Pro. My only complaint is when sometimes you buy a pack of 25 toploaders, and half of them turn out to be warped in some way. Like they lay just a bit not-quite-flat when you put a card in one and then lay it on a table. QC, I guess.

The owner sent me one of his 4x6 DIY kits. They are super high quality but the size is too big and ugly. I emailed back and forth with him a few times on a new smaller design. It is very similar to a PSA/SGC slabs dimensions only thinner. I though he was going to do it but I have not heard from him or do I see it available on the site.:( |
As long as holders don't have pvc you should be ok
I use a lot of ultra pros... |
