RIP - Neil Peart
Iconic drummer for RUSH just passed. A true legend.

Sad news. He was unreal with the sticks.

One of the best drummers I have ever seen and best drummers there ever was. RIP...

Noooo!
This doesn't work for me.
Deeply saddened. Rest in eternal peace Neil. We are weaker on Earth without you. Heaven's band is unquestionably better but this hurts. |
Rest In Peace, Neil Peart
My favorite band, bar none. My favorite drummer, bar none. We lost a great one today, and are very fortunate to have the results of his genius to enjoy.

Sad Sad News
I have loved rush since I was turned on to them in the 1980's. I've probably listened to Tom Sawyer more times than any other song - timeless and powerful. Grateful I got to see them play the Clockwork Angels tour a few years ago. Incredible show! So sad to hear the news yesterday - prayers and peaceful thoughts to his band mates and loved ones - RIP Neal - you will be missed.

Oh man, this is truly a sad day. I saw Rush on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert when it first aired in 1974. My friends and I found their album and immediately bought it, and it was the beginning of a journey. Neil was such a great drummer. He'll always be appreciated, and always be missed. R.I.P. Neil.

Sad to hear. Rush was my very first concert at the old Boston Garden (2nd row). Was hooked that night!

Rush was (and still is) by far my favorite band and was the soundtrack to my youth.
After living through the premature loss of his daughter and first wife, it's sad to me that Neil didn't get to spend more time in retirement with his current wife and daughter. Hopefully they are comforted, in some small way, by the incredible outpouring of praise and respect for Neils life and work that came in from all over the world of music and entertainment. |
