1925 exhibit Lou gehrig

Hi I'm new here but not new to cards, except this one. After two weeks I think I have the only exhibit Lou gehrig rookie strip card

Can't tell size or details from your image, but more likely explanation is 1/4 of a 4 in one exhibit. I have a bunch of those (not Gehrig though) they often got cut apart by kids of the era.

i can't really tell what you've got there from that tiny scan?

not that pose?

not up on my 4 in 1 poses, just offering a possibility that might be mistaken for an "Exhibit Strip Card"

Snapolit1 12-18-2019 11:49 AM

No, never saw that on a 4 on 1. That's on the 25 and 27 Exhibits.

Since we can't determine size from the image provided I'll guess it's just a trimmed version of one of those then.

I know I've seen some gimmicky off size prints of that photo over the years on ebay.

Looks like it has text in the lower left, do the prints reproduce that as well? If they do then betting it's a REAL bummer of a first post.

Small photo with no detail. No size. No back photo. Why bother to put it on?

Exhibitman 12-18-2019 04:52 PM

No such thing. What you have there is likely a print from an online catalog for the sale of a 1925 Gehrig that has been artificially aged. Like this fun Joe Jackson I picked up at the National:

It is from a Fatima poster. Someone put a lot of work into it.
