1908 Baltimore Orioles Picture
Found this recently and was wondering what you guys thought on value. Manager has some incredible history in the sport with names surrounding him like Connie Mack and Babe Ruth. Definitely going to be available after some research is done.
Thanks for looking ! https://i.imgur.com/euoRR5p.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BOXCe9H.jpg https://i.imgur.com/en3FL2i.jpg https://i.imgur.com/XhwtE0r.jpg?1 |
That's a great piece, much more rare than the postcards.
I'd guess $300-500. |
Jeff has his finger on the pulse of the hobby much more so than me, but I suspect that one or more of the Baltimore guys would be happy to give you a grand for that great display piece. If I had it on my table at Chantilly or Philly, I'd price it to end up there. Only one way to find out for sure.

What makes your cabinet photo special isn't Jack Dunn... but the inclusion of 19th century star and Hall of Fame member Wilbert Robinson (he coached the Orioles briefly after John McGraw). REA sold a group of five Baltimore cabinet photos in 2007 from the "Baltimore Collection" including examples for 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907 and 1908 (identical to yours). The hammer price on the lot was $3,525.00.

1908 Team Piece
It's a nice piece, and I'd say Jeff was in the ballpark at $300-$500. If you're looking to sell it, I take anything pre-war Orioles related so I'd be interested. Please PM if so. If not, congrats on a nice piece.
