Great & Bad News for Auburn fans:
 

The same night Auburn upset Alabama 48-45, thereby knocking them out of playoff competition for the first time, I was saddened to hear that their first Heisman Trophy winner, Pat Sullivan, died after a long fight with cancer.

In my 'formative' years, 'Sullivan to Beasley' was all the talk around here...50 miles east of Auburn. He wore #7 and it used to be said that 'under that 7 is an S'.
