Jeff Lynne's ELO
So amazing to have him back. Was giving up hope I'd ever see it.
Any fans on the board? |
Just saw him this past July in Philly. First time I ever had the chance to see him. Great show.

A big fan for sure. Seems like they came thru Houston every year in the 70s. Saw them three or four times. First time was with the Kinks IIRC. I still enjoy their music.

Yeah, love me some ELO.

TBH one of my favourite bands from my youth. Saw them live w few times and will see any reincarnation with any members. Love the symphonic touch to some great rock songs.
Surprisingly they were also known for being really loud live. I once had 2nd row seats on the left side of the stage. Turning my head right to watch the Center of the stage, I had the floor speakers banging in my left ear all night. Could not hear out of it for a few days and today that hearing never recovered 100%. My kids laugh as I call my left ear “my ELO ear”. |
I've always been a fan of Rock Music that incorporates classic instruments - like the Beatles, Billy Joel...

I was a big Roy Wood/Move fan back in the day and bought right into the ELO personel change. Can vividly recall a well known classical music station in NYC changing it's format to rock 'n roll back in the '70's (the call letters are lost to brain fog). The first song they played as a rock station was ELO's "Roll Over Beethoven" from ELO II. A neat transition I thought. Those were the days.
