World Series

Are you watching the World Series?

Not at this moment, but have you watched at least some of both games?

Leon 10-27-2019 06:41 PM

I don't watch much MLB but since my original hometown of Houston is battling it out I am watching some of it.

bnorth 10-27-2019 07:17 PM

I don't watch much baseball anymore. I do have the WS on but it is more background noise than really paying attention.

byrone 10-27-2019 07:31 PM

Haven’t really watched MLB since 1994

Me too except for a rare occasion.

mq711 10-27-2019 07:56 PM

Watching it now only because hometown team, Nationals, are playing. Otherwise only watch the Giants on TV, though do go to a lot of different ball parks for the at game experience.

BruceinGa 10-27-2019 08:06 PM

I don't watch many games during the season but I try to watch the post season games.

ullmandds 10-27-2019 08:09 PM

i'm watching...I still love to watch good baseball!

parker1b2 10-27-2019 08:20 PM

Not watching out of protest of the Astros beating my Yankees in the ALCS.

Mark17 10-27-2019 09:30 PM

Since the World Series is about the only baseball I can watch free (I refuse to pay a penny to watch sports,) I am tuning in the Series when it occurs to me. Tonight I tuned in during the 8th inning.

I can tell you who won and lost every World Series from 1903 through about 1928, and from 1945 through 1991, but I couldn't do that from 1994 on, with just a few exceptions.

pokerplyr80 10-27-2019 09:40 PM

I've only watched a few innings here and there. I didn't catch any of it tonight but the Packers looked good on the road.

conor912 10-28-2019 08:07 AM

Sort of. Tuning in here and there if I remember, but not setting a reminder. The win/loss pattern has been the storyline, but the games themselves haven’t been all that interesting.

Bpm0014 10-28-2019 09:59 AM

I went to the game last night (game 5) if that counts? But otherwise yes, I'd still watch it.

Hirbonzig 10-28-2019 01:42 PM

Don’t watch many MLB games anymore. Games filled with HR’s and SO get boring after a while. I would rather watch games old school style—single, double, stolen bases, sacrifice, and bunting.

Yes, absolutely. Residing in Houston the last 30+ years, the Astros are a big part of our family activities. I predicted Astros would win the series 4-2 however I did not expect the visiting team to win each of the first 5 games - GO ASTROS!!!

home field disadvantage

My wife and I were talking about this last night. So much for a home field advantage. And yes, go Astros!

NO, reason being the Braves choked yet again!

Leon 11-01-2019 06:52 PM

The only major league sport where the home team lost every game in the championship, from what I heard. That is kind of crazy. Congrats to the Nats.

David W 11-02-2019 05:02 AM

I am on Eastern time and have to wake up at 4:45 for work.

So I watch the first couple innings and that’s it

dabigyankeeman 11-02-2019 07:53 AM

I watched parts of the first 6 games, all of the 7th game. Loved that the Nats won it!!!!! If the Yankees, Mets, Marlins, Dodgers, or Cubs had been in it I would have watched all of every game.

I wish though they had day games on the weekends.

I heard after game 5 that it was the first time in baseball, basketball, or hockey history that a road team had won 5 games on the road in a 7 game championship series. 7 road wins is a record that will never be matched.
