1960's cards cut from sheets

I am fairly new to the net54 forums. I was looking for opinions on selling cards cut from sheets. Growing up a neighbor friend's father worked for a Topps printer. He had his walls covered in uncut sheets. When he had too many he would cut them up and give them to his friends. Now I came across an old cigar box full of the cut up cards. Do you think they have value to people? Is it legitimate to possibly sell them? Wonder what the groups feeling is on this.

As long as you accurately describe them as sheet cut, you are fine selling them. The buyer will realize they should not earn a number grade from a grading company.
If they happened to be proofs (different images or text than the pack inserted cards or phases of the printing process), they might have additional value to collectors.

Got any pictures of the cards? These could have printing errors that might make them more desirable to some collectors.

Some of us do like anything a little different about Topps cards. What years do you have?

Which printer? Zabel Brothers?

Not sure of the printer. This was in Ct.

That fits actually. Chromographic Press was owned by a Shorin (Topps owning family) and based in Hamden IIRC. They may have bought it from a prior owner but for the years you mention it was a Topps company.

Skipped a few years there. We would certainly like to see some pictures if you get a chance. They don't have to be scans. Just use your phone and see if you can upload a few quick pics.
