Seaver

Today, after the early football game on Fox, I caught the Seaver documentary. The documentary was decent. It is worth a watch.

Cool, thank you for the heads up. I hadn't heard about this. I'll have to run a search to see when it airs next, and record it.

I enjoyed it. The doc itself is good, but I'm not a real big fan of Ed Burns' voice as the narrator.

Seaver was just dominant as a Met, and a Red in the first few years. Wow. I saw him once when the ChiSox beat the Brewers in April of '86 at County Stadium. He was real good that day. But seeing this old footage of him reminds me of just how stupid good he was in his prime. He was the perfect example of pitching mechanics. He was still approaching 100 mph in the ninth.
