Help with a George Weiss auto please

Got this as a gift a few years ago from a buddy. Actually forgot I had it, but looking at it now I see a few things that look a little off. I acctually like the George ok, but the W and the E in Weiss look a bit off, and I've never seen him sign his middle initial unless it was on a legal document, and those M's seem quite different. Any experts want to weigh in?

Looks like the signature that I have on yankee contract for a radio broadcaster.

IMO it is secretarial.

Thanks guys. Yeah Richard, I was thinking forgery, but secretarial makes sense. They did a pretty good job on the George (imo), but the slant on the middle initial M is off from every other one that I've seen, and the W in Weiss seems a bit too defined especially in the middle. Anyway, I'll take this out of circulation and in to the shredder. Thanks again.

He had a very rapid signature and you can see hesitation throughout. Most of the 3x5’s I see do not have his middle initial either. I too think it’s bad.

If Rich says it’s not real, you can take it to the bank. I have complete trust in him and Jim Stinson.

I have long had the belief that the W in Weiss was one of his keys. If it looked like a U it was probably good. If it looked like a W it was not authentic.

I used to buy alot from Ron Gordon before he retired. About 2 years after I bought my Weiss from him, out of the blue he sent me a check. He said he found out the Weiss like the one pictured was secretarial as Rich and others have said here,

Ron was a great guy. He was at a show in Las Vegas in the 1989-91 timeframe, and he had some drop dead great stuff. Absolutely mint 3x5's of Jackie Robinson, Hornsby, Lajoie, etc. I had already spend most of my budget by the time I found him, but I was able to get the Robinson. Sure glad I did.

agreed I bought a fairly large % of his inventory the last few years he was in business

Ron was definitely one of the good guys.
