this item was owned by Gil Wolf who married to Cal Abrams sister so Cal was is brother in law this may have been an image from 1950's Vero Beach Dodger Training Camp 1952 Unusual WATER COLOR Comic Art BROOKLYN DODGERS PIECE & SIGNED BY CAL ABRAMS only one I can clearly make out is "Cal Abrams which he signed and noted "1952 batting ave.328" , the lady depicted in the drawing playing the piano is Ethel Abrams Cal's mother , see photo in other listing In 1996 Abrams, who was Jewish, was inducted into the B'nai B'rith Jewish American Sports Hall of Fame, in Washington, D.C. Abrams died in 1997 after suffering a heart attack in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was buried in his Brooklyn Dodgers uniform there are many other signatures but none I recognize could be players wives or dodger training camp employees the hand drawn and hand colored WATER COLOR art work is signed "HEINZERLING" ?? it measures 20 x 16 all round the picture are signatures the water color is on thick art board and stapled to a cardboard backing , its a little rough around the edges , with tears and nicks still cool one of a kind piece asking $50 includes free shipping paypal f/f |
