Thanks in advance for all the help!
The vintage one is a John O'Connor ball, from the 50's/60's, I'm trying to figure out who is above Augie Donatelli. Ken |
Dave Concepcion on the first ball.
|
The second is the Mayor, Sean Casey. The last team ball has umpire Augie Donatelli on the sweet spot.
|
Thanks, guys. Still need whoever signed above Augie, and I'm glad that yankee didn't just jump out, he's been driving me nuts all summer!
|
The Yankee is Josias Manzanillo.
Steve |
I'm thinking the older ball is from a charity game or other non-ML event. I say that because it looks like the signature above the sweet spot (upside down) in the photo, looks like it reads "Father McMahon". I also see what looks like Haywood Sullivan on the side panel.
Steve |
Guess I shouldn't beat myself up over the yankee, I have no recollection of Manzanillo!
The vintage ball is from spring training, O'Connor used to get anybody and everybody in spring training, from Foxx to Al Richter to Father McMahon, who is a complete mystery to me. This particular ball has Fred Saigh (owner) and John Carmichael (baseball writer.) |

#83 is Ricky Sanders of the Miami Dolphins. He signed with them in 1995, but didn't play in any regular season games.
The baseball is Ryan Sadowski of the San Francisco Giants in 2009. Steve |
Thanks!! Wasn't sure on Sanders because the autos I was looking at were more sharp, this is rounded.
