1994 Topps Black Gold
1 Attachment(s)
I have three of these cards. One has the black gold logo on the front (bottom card in the photo), the other two do not (top cards in the photo).
Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks for looking. |

Looks like the first 22 cards in the set had the logo, the next 22 did not. So maybe they were split between series 1 (logo) and series 2 (no logo)? Some of the cards in the set are known to have the wrong (1993) copyright date. |

1994 Topps - Black Gold Redemptions #A/B/C/D - Winner ABCD Courtesy of COMC.com Looks like the only redemption card that's missing it is the ABCD winner card. For what it's worth, this card sold for $153.99 in October of 2015. |
A friend of mine showed me that card just yesterday. He will be happy to see this post!

Are you sure he didn't have the 1993 version? Those are much cheaper. I checked the PSA auction prices realized for 1994, but the two sales they have listed are both 1993 A/B/C/D cards with the label saying 1994 (mechanical error).

I may have been the 1993 card. I'll see him tomorrow at our softball game and I'll ask him to check.

I have the 93 and 94 Black Gold sets. I like the look of the cards, and the player sets are fairly easy to assemble. It is harder to get all 14 checklists for the two sets : A,B,C,D, A/B, C/D and A/B/C/D, in both certified (redeemed) and uncertified format. Certified cards have checklists on back and were sent with the redeemed cards, while uncertified cards have the form to send in to claim the player cards. The uncertified cards are tougher
I still need the 94 A/B/C/D uncertified card, pictured above. Have the other 13 checklist cards Agree that in the 94 set the first 22 cards have the logo, the rest not |
