Selling---1908 Dietsche Ty Cobb Post Card---$7900---SGC 4.5---Beautiful PC, check scans---I bought this raw and had it graded at the National--(the tough part of the grading was the $500 charge) they charged you on the grade and the value of the card---Oh well,, any questions, just email me---I take paypal, check, possible trade if you have something I want.---thanks, Don

Beautiful card. That is a tough one to find withiut any problems.

What do you mean that SGC charges you for the grade? I thought that their charge was based on the value of the card, which would obviously increase as the relative grade increased.

Great card Don - the 1908's are much tougher to come across.......SNGC normally charges $250 for their same day grading service on card values up to $7500. However, management chose to give everyone a "show special" break in Chicago by kindly doubling their fee to $500.

True on the 1908 version. Wish the TPGs would take the time or educate the graders more when charging people big bucks to slab it. I feel Dietsches should be labelled from either 1907, 1908, or 1909 since we know when they were made and not all lumped together 1907-09

I don't recall seeing the 1908 Cobb without the letters on front. I've heard it exists, but never seen one.

Robert Silverman did a great article on them a decade ago. I think it ran in the SCD or OldCardBoard magazine.
