Has anyone ever seen this before ? Koufax Mantle Boyer 1965 transfers
I have no luck posting pictures so I need someone to please post the pix for me ( so I guess no one has seen it ! )
When you do a google search and check the Robert Edwards Archieves and nothing comes up as a match I figure it’s pretty rare or new to the hobby. I have been collecting since 1971 and have never seen it. I picked it up at the National show in Chicago. I bought a “ empty “ 1965 topps baseball 5 cent box and it was thrown into the deal as a companion piece. Any thoughts or info would be great. Thanks Scott |

Pretty tough to tell if I've seen it without seeing it

Scott-- not sure what you are asking. I have as set of the 65 Transfers that includes those 3 players. Are you talking about something different than the individual Transfers ? The set has 72 I think but there is at least one variation, Ron Hunt at 2B or SS

Asking for info on the “poster” or advertisement piece. I am guessing it came inside the full box of cards on top. Used by the retailer to promote the new inserts to increase sales and interest How rare are they? I have had the please if looking at many Mantle and Koufax threads and don’t recall seeing this piece in any collection. Are they callled “box toppers” ? Are there other ones out there promoting 68 game cards, 66 rub offs, 63 peel offs etc.

Box toppers
Yes there are other ones out there from 62 thru 69

Not salesman samples
Strip folded on top of packs in box for the candy store or drugstore to hang over the box advertising the inserts |
Correct. Not looking for panels or real transfers. Love to see other examples of these “ boxtopper “ from the 60s advertising inserts.
