T205 images not from Paul Thompson photos
The images for most of the cards in the T205 set are based on Paul Thompson photos.
The same photos were used in the 1911 Spalding Base Ball Guide. But in some cases, such as Ed Walsh, the Thompson photo was not used for the T205. https://images2.imgbox.com/d8/70/iHIIwZYO_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/71/a6/9zoAvISM_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/f5/a9/kjHcanqw_o.jpg I noticed recently that the T205 Walsh image is a match for the PC796 Sepia Postcard Walsh. https://images2.imgbox.com/87/d8/5BxA7SvX_o.jpg Morph animation: https://images2.imgbox.com/26/42/CQUOpFhF_o.gif Does anyone else have examples of T205s that don't use the Paul Thompson images, but instead use images that can be tied to some other known card or source? |

Also, there are multiple Paul Thompson “dugout” shots per player.. obviously only one was used. I also have examples of those. My guess is, if the photo you shared (if it was the one used for the t205 portrait) is also a PT photo. |
Ps: love your research. If you find any i could used for my set, i would pay handsomely(PT t205 images AND minor league).

I’ve never seen an original photo for the PC796 Walsh, so I guess it could be a different Thompson photo. I would love to see that photo if anyone has info on it.
