Negro League Baseball Treasures - Hake's Auctions
 

For the Negro League, Cuban League and Baseball Hall of Fame enthusiasts, I have two historically significant consignments available in the current Hake's Auction:

The first item is the finest advertising piece ever created for Negro League Baseball, a 1935 Negro League Team Composites Broadside picturing all of that season's players from the Pittsburgh Crawfords, Homestead Grays, Chicago American Giants, Brooklyn Eagles, New York Cubans & Columbus Elite Giants. In all, 15 Hall of Famers are pictured with several more potential selectees possible from future elections.

Secondly, a Real Photo Postcard depicting the 1925-26 Havana Baseball Club from a postseason Cuban tour, picturing Hall of Famer's, Martin Dihigo and Jud Wilson along with several other notable stars.

Beautiful pieces! Saw those listings, but they were beyond my budget. Hope you were happy with the sale price. Looks like it was a bit below their estimates. I don't the market enough to know whether they were strong sales.

The buyer of the broadside should have to sign a stipulation that the item cannot be cut into “team cards” and slabbed
