Help with Gehrig snapshot....
 

Hello guys, picked up a group of 7 Lou Gehrig snapshots and was hoping somebody on the "54" could I D the person/player pictured with Lou and Lefty Grove. Thought maybe there`s a link to the 1931 Tour of Japan trip but can`t really nail down the 3`rd pictured person. Enclosed link of photo and another of Lou taking his hacks, again thanks to the board for any help or info.

Looks kind of like rabbit maranville to me

Dave, good call on that person being Maranville. Here is a shot of the group with players ID’d. Nearly same pose for the Rabbit.

Thanks for the response guys, much appreciated. Dave think you are right on with Maranville which further helps the 1931 tour angle. Thanx also for posting that picture sir, maybe my hopeful imagination but taking a closer look at another shot that might contain Al Simmons. Any other info is welcomed, there`s none better than the "54". Murph
