Weighing In on Altered Cards in Holders
Went to a local card show today. Very little vintage but whom I talked with didn't know anything about the scandal going on with PSA and the altered graded cards. One guy I talked with said that he didn't believe it could happen with PSA but maybe SGC or Beckett.
So, I believe there are enough people who are not educated about the alterations that the scandal will not affect value at all. Some people will feel they are getting a "bargain" because they will win auctions they normally wouldn't. Jonesy |
Why cant these posts be added to existing threads pertaining this? This is what, the 60th or 70th thread? This is becoming comical....So called scandal hasn't affected values, Cards are still bringing all time high prices.....

It will all go away as soon as the next distraction pops up. |
Right, so as long as the stuff still brings high prices there's no problem?

would you be mad if you bought something for 10k and find out it was altered but offered 15k for it the next day or would you return it and ask for your 10k back |
I suppose if money was the only thing that mattered to me.
I can't really imagine living life like that. |
Or with the sort of morals that allowed me to pass along a scam, making me essentially just as guilty as the people who did it.

If your not on net54 to have read about the altered cards then probably 95% of the people that collect don't know or will never know about it unless it's plastered on the nightly news or national newspapers. The TPA sure arent going to send you a personal email telling you about it.

I think he's just bitter someone stole his Mantle last year. I hope he's not always like that.

I do think people that pay $50,000 for cards do read up on things though or have someone that does |
