Tremendous photo Jeff and one that is underappreciated in my opinion. Hard to overstate the historical importance of this gathering of all-stars; precursor to the next year's Addie Joss Day gathering, the 1917 Murname game and ultimately the All Star games from the 30's on. It all started here, and what a beauty to boot!

that's strange that the one newspaper pic mentions that bottom row far right is Lajoie. Looks an awful lot like Elberfeld to me. Im assuming that is a period newsphoto so strange they would have gotten that wrong?

Definitely not Lajoie. Newspaper article is later (not sure what year), Harry Lord's wife loaned them the photo for their news story which looks like contained errors.
