How often does eBay offer 15% coupons?
 

I missed the most recent one, on the 13th, and I was just wondering, roughly, how often eBay offers them.

It varies. They almost always come near the end of a quarter. eBay waits until eBay bucks expire, so April almost certainly will have none. They could sneak one more in here at the end of March. But nobody knows except the eBay gods. When they do pop up, ya gotta strike hard and maximize it and crush your watchlist!

Obviously you see more around Nov-Dec as they try to push to get that holiday $$$$

Right after I've made and paid for a major purchase:(

Usually once during the last month of a quarter. March, June, September. Otherwise 8% and 10% will be scattered around. Sometimes a 20% will show up once or twice a year. December has lots of deals.

I always find something I want listed a day or two after the coupon! Ugh

I just make my own 15% coupons. 8% ebay bucks + 2% ebates + 5% credit card rewards = 15%. I have noticed over the last year that they have been doing a 15% off coupon once per quarter, but sometimes there aren't any cards overpriced by less than 15% or good auctions ending that day. Having multiple possible discounts gives better flexibility in my purchases, instead of waiting around for the best discount.

What credit card has 5% rewards?

Members here always alert everyone when a 15% off coupon goes live, so start scrolling back over the old posts on the main page (it'll take time) and you'll be able to see how often they've happened in the recent past. A couple of months ago there were a couple of 15% off coupons that hit one right after the other (only a couple of days apart, if I remember correctly). That was surprising.

Discover, in four bonus categories that rotate quarterly. The bonus is capped at $1500 each quarter-none of which include eBay. The only uncapped 5 percenter I am aware of is the Chase Amazon Prime CC when you make purchases at Whole Foods. The eBay Mastercard looks pretty good but I have no personal experience with it.

Quarterly seems to be the rule of thumb, I recommend adding the eBay app to your phone with all notifications turned on. On iPhone I receive the notification when the code goes live. There are also app-exclusive ebay bucks promotions.

Interesting that the $3 thread was in BlowOut's Baseball Talk forum and not in their eBay/COMC forum.

The Target Red Card has a 5% discount on all Target purchases and they sell Ebay gift cards online up to a $200 denomination.
