Edison NJ Show - Anybody Ever Been?

Evening,

I'm thinking about heading down to a show in Edison NJ at the end of March, March 29-31.

There's a bunch of HOF football players signing, but I'm wondering how the show is, specifically for vintage.

It looks like the Chantilly show is happening the same weekend, so I'm wondering if all the main dealers from the East Coast will be at that instead.

Thanks for any help in advance!!!

The few times I went to the Edison show I wasn't very impressed with the dealer selection.

I believe this might be the same show that was at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset a few years ago. If so, the last time I went to the show it was almost entirely autograph guests and people selling unsigned autograph material, framed collector pieces, etc. From memory I think there were like 3 or 4 card dealers. I live about 10 min from Franklin and it wasn't worth my time to go, especially considering the $10 admission. In my opinion, if you are looking for just cards, regardless of decade, you are much better off hitting the Parsippany show, St. Ann's show in Raritan or the show in Bordentown.

Hey DJ,

I didn't know you were from near me. Maybe I'll see you at the St. Ann's show some day.

Looks like the group that runs the Bordentown shows have one coming up in Monroe (Exit 8A one, not that fake South Jersey one) in a couple of weeks. Will give that a try instead of Edison

I went back in 2011, but that was the last timeI knew it to be there. Anyone know the hours?

Where and when is the Bordentown show? I am close by and would like to check it out.
Thanks,
Robert

Robert, it looks like the next show is March 24. Be aware, it is a very small show, but at least there are card dealers.

Occasionally

I used to go a lot, that became less frequently over the years. There is an occasional dealer with some vintage at the shows but very very very little of any prewar. If close by may be worth a stop by just to see but. Wouldn’t expect much.

Made the hour drive once or twice. Couldn't recommend. Good place though to buy a Mark Bavaro jersey or dinner plate with Derek Jeter's face on it.

You will be through the prewar stuff in 10-15 minutes.

Appreciate the feedback everyone, I was hoping there would be more to the show than the autos, especially since I'm driving 5.5 hours....

CSA (the Chantilly Show group) came in and tried a show in Edison a few years ago - a few decent vintage dealers attended - but that hasn't been in about 5-6 years.

Yup, I remember that show as well. Was it really only 5-6 years ago? Feels like it was longer than that. I thought the CSA show in Edison was actually pretty good even though it was definitely autograph featured. Sure wish they would have continued that show.
