Wanted - Orioles affiliates minor league scorecards
I'm an Orioles collector working on a labor of love to acquire programs/scorecards of all the O's minor league affiliates since 1954.

How About...
Hi Alan, What about the Wausau (Wisconsin) Timbers. The Timbers were a class A affiliate in the late '80's and early '90's. They were historically affiliated with the Mets , Mariners and Orioles over the years. They played in beautiful and historic Athletic Park. Google it to see the field stone construction. Chicago Cub great Johnny Schmitz grew up less than 2 blocks from the right field wall and was "Discovered" while playing there in the late 1930's among the chicken coops scattered in the outfield. Today the field hosts the Wausau Woodchucks....a college summer league team. Long story but eBay should offer opportunities. All of my Timbers items are permanent residents of my collection. Good luck with the "Hunt"!!

Dennis,
Yes, the Timbers were an Orioles affiliate in 1990. Here is what I have for 1990 Wausua Timbers items (program and schedule). Do you have any other items from the 1990 Timbers? Team photo?? |
Wausau Timbers
Hi Alan, I have the exact same 2 items in my collection for 1990 and that is all. except for a team signed ball that got rained on through an open car window and.... Attendance at Athletic Park was always good and items should turn up with some frequency. I wish I could help you beyond searching eBay. There is not even a card shop anymore in Wausau that could have memorabilia. But there is a guy on the town square with the coolest and most eclectic gallery of local memorabilia for sale. I have forgotten his name but he is next door to the fabulous Mint Cafe and the Chamber of Commerce might be able to help you locate him. We are 100 miles north of town and only "pilgrimage" there once a year. Again good luck and I would be happy to help you in any way we can.

Oriole affliate programs
The Vancouver Mounties were the AAA affiliate from 1956 through 1960. I have some of these years if you are interested in them.
