Picked up up a few old autograph books from the 1940's. Nothing sports related in them but some decent entertainment names. Here's a nice Louis Armstrong, and great that they saved the newspaper cutout from the event where they got it signed (made it easier for me to identify the signatures before and after it as well)

Wow! Paul Simon picked up the sharpie and signed! Havent heard of him doing that in a long time. Congrats
|
I met him through some business things. Saw him twice. First time gave him one card (I was too intimidated to give him more). Next time which was yesterday laid all 4 on a table and he signed them all. Didn't hesitate

Sean, that's a huge score. I love anything to do with Pride of the Yankees, and I bet that contract slipped under the radar of many of the POY collectors.

Thanks Mike! Pretty amazing that within 5 months of his death his movie was being created.

Sparky!

Pretty beat up 1964 Toronto Maple Leafs, International League Baseball (AAA) signed team photo, but it has George “Sparky” Anderson’s autograph from 1964, the first year of his 31-season managerial career.

I’ll try and post pictures once I have it in hand, but I just won a signed Dizzy Trout for my project. He was the last Red Sox I needed; I now have all 21, including some very tough ones like him, Ellis Kinder and Faye Throneberry.

I picked up this beauty for my signed 1948 Bowman set...I currently have 35 of the 48 cards signed. Very happy to add this tough card for my set! I have my wantlist posted in a thread in the B/S/T section of the board. I would really appreciate any help or leads on the ones I still need. My 1948 Bowman Signed Wantlist Thread |
