Spotlight on 1933 Goudey minor leaguers

I did a write-up on the 15 minor leaguers in the 1933 Goudey set, including what may be a new theory for how they got there. Enjoy!

Y'all know this stuff so much better than I do, so corrections are always welcome.

Thanks Jason, nice article. My first thoughts are: how extensively were Goudeys distributed west of the Mississppi River? Why is Oakland (and the San Francisco Bay Area) represented and not Los Angeles? And why in the world, out of all the guys who played west of the Mississippi River in 1933, was Pete Scott selected?

Are you saying you'd rather have a Joe DiMaggio than a Pete Scott? [emoji3]

Okay, I tracked down some MiLB stats on Pete Scott. He was a very good hitter in the minors. Not the best in the PCL or even on the Oaks but still very solid.
