You gotta love the balls it takes to basically show a chart that the card is worth hundreds of thousands to possibly millions but I'll take $400 or best offer!!...the back story of it was grandpas and been in the family for quite a while is so played out...get creative wegolook...or yougonow

I say seller's fault if he ends up missing out on something around $500,000 on this sale.

In my humble opinion you have to be able to interpret charts better.

I may bid, but a plain white envelope would have been a deal breaker for me.

He says "Authentic" in the title and "the real deal" in the description.

I thought that eBay prohibited sellers from calling these type of cards authentic unless they were graded. :confused:

Ebay endorses "authentic" from JSA and signature authenticators from PSA and SGC so what's wrong with this clown calling the card authentic?:D

It almost always is a dormant account that was hacked and the real owner has no idea what is going on.

The attacker got into their email, ebay account and paypal and will move the money when it lands.

But has The foremost authenticator Jason Mars put his stamp of approval on it yet?

Terrible fake. Everything is wrong with this card. They really struggle to make creases look real. The seller is an authentic con, the real deal.

Forget the Wagner I'm banking on getting his Victoria secret socks in another listing. $14 obo is the deal of the century.
I sent him a message asking if he'll take $100k and told him everything seems legit. I'm excited for his response.

The fact that the asking price is 99% below market value is sufficient to conclude with certainty, prima facie, that the card is a reprint. Whoever buys that card for $400 has no legal recourse to make a fraud claim because the element of deception is absent. Not even a complete novice would be fooled.

Hmm. Well. I would not agree with that. That is a very blanket statement that does not account for ebay account protection let alone credit card protection.

If one suspects wrong doing that is extremely easy to see and prove outside of automated detection of issues from the ebay platform, which most of the time is extremely basic in methodolgoy, then yes there is more than enough runway for recourse once you get someones attention and are the right person requesting recourse.

Even if you are not the account holder all you need to do is report a count compromise to get human intervention. Reporting an account compromise that may subject ebay to other federal, state and local sanctions is way more powerful than reporting a listing that may or may not be legit. It is not met with the same level of ignorance as reporting a suspected marginably bad listing if you get the right person.

The odds this person/attacker went to the level to find a server in the victims home town to connect to ebay to skip past safe guards that a basic automated system can understand are slim to zero. Any human can look at the traffic and see it is anomolous.

What this person did was slip past is a system that is flawed and when met with a lockout that requires real verification to undo is not something that is easily undone.

You can tell this tale by knowing anything about fraud and looking at their feed back history.

This individual has likely been dormant long enough to bring their feedback rating way down through repeat fraud that was caught, uncaught etc round and round not setting off enough of an alert to shut the account off completely.

I can say that if any real human touched the incident when reported and not an automated system any transaction associated to this account would be dead and locked long ago.

If you want to enact swift and blinding justice on a listing then that perspective is how you will be way more effective than pressing a report button. Compliance costs assloads of dollars.

The following photo is from one of his listings where buyer claimed it was a fake. I don't know. Those toes look real to me.

This guy is an absolute moron, he e mailed us to say he has authentication and its real, what a jerk, I reported him to trust and safety, this listing will be pulled.

Follow up. I got this gem today from him after saying I'd pay him $500k for it "Not when Heritage Auctions says this is worth way more. I'm getting ready to figure out how to take this off and post to heritage instead" I told him it's easily worth millions, he's sitting on a gold mine.

I would love to see the look on the face of Heritage rep that receives this in the mail.

+1 He can't tell a fake Wagner, but he knows to send it to Heritage?

Maybe he should tell them to start the bidding at $200, because he didn't get any bids when he started at $400. :rolleyes:
