E104-1 Nadja Question
1 Attachment(s)
I know the E104-1 Nadja Caramel cards share their fronts with the D359 Williams and Rochester baking cards and the T208 Cullivan's Fireside cards. According to the Standard Catalog, only the Nadjas are known with blank backs. My question is this -- how does anyone know that the blank backs have anything to do with the Nadja company? Couldn't they just as likely be from the D359 or T208 sets? Or could the blank backs be a completely different set from an unknown issuer? Or could the blank backs be a "mother" set, like the M101-4/5 blank back Felix Mendelsohn cards?
Any insights would be appreciated. All these questions were inspired by my very happy acquisition of my first ever Nadja, which I picked up through the B/S/T. |
I don't know the answer to your question but "Nadjas" were the caramels and Blanke Wenneker Candy Company, out of St. Louis made them...I don't own this box any longer...wish I did. :)

Williams and Rochester
I think the logic would be that for the cards to be Williams and Rochester they have to have those backs....Jerry
