Forum for diabetics, anyone know a good one?
I know this is WAY off topic for this forum but was hoping someone on here might know of one. Just searching for information on the web is overwhelming with very inconstant results. PM or post is OK, Thanks.:)

Try Facebook. I do not know specifically of one but I have a different health issue and am a member of several FB groups dealing with my issue.

Good luck, Ben. In my experience the internet is a mixed blessing, on the one hand there is a tremendous amount of information available on almost any health-related topic and one is no longer in the position of having to blindly trust doctors; but on the other hand there is almost no topic where there is not controversy and divergence of opinion and it can be tremendously difficult to navigate. Seemingly equally qualified and articulate people will give completely conflicting advice, and then what do you do? End of rant.

The part that freaks me out the most is the meter you use to check glucose levels is very inaccurate. Being up to 15% off seems like a huge problem to me especially when you are hitting #s in the 350+ range. That is even worse than PSA's grading ability.;):D |
[QUOTE=bnorth;1824739]Thanks, I am not a fan of facebook but it is a great last resort if I need it.:)
The people in my FB groups, that deal with my issue, are very different from the usual crowds on FB. They are very helpful and have great knowledge about the subject. |
