Oh man, the hand in that picture, given Eddie's fate, is down right creepy.
He's also got to be one of, if not the only player, ever to hold a law degree from Harvard while playing professional baseball. |

One of the most unappreciated figures in baseball history, I have always picked up Eddie Grant cards when I can find them.
I always thought it was shame that the Giants didn't transport and keep the plaque honoring Eddie Grant when they moved from the Polo Grounds in New York to San Francisco. I feel they lost a bit of their history by not doing so. |
My only one and one of the nicest cards in my set.

Great Man!
Eddie was a Captain in the 77th Infantry Division (now called the 77th Sustainment Brigade) and died alongside 1,485 others in his Division (Statue of Liberty Division). Incredible man! Rest in Peace Eddie.
Peace, Mike |
