Thanks For The Memories
I enjoy watching the old youtube prewar (the Net54 connection;)) videos of the big band era, which along with jazz has always been my musical taste.
As you know there is a comment section below the videos, which I usually do not read, but ..... After viewing a particularly inspirational performance by Glenn Miller, I began to scan the comments, which were uniformly positive. One gentleman went so far in his rave to say the video reminded him vividly of the last Glenn Miller performance he attended in Chicago in 1971. He didn’t mention the venue, but it didn’t matter. Glenn Miller unfortunately died in 1944. |
