15K would have gotten you this one.....
wow....15K+
I used to have a PSA 8 before I sold most of my stuff....but this is a STRONG price https://www.ebay.com/itm/1926-Lamber....m43663.l10137 |
I saw that when it got posted. Funny, I thought to myself..."wow, great card, I could bid a couple hundred on that."
With the exception of the SIFK Tiger Woods, that's gotta be close to a record for a golf card, right? |
As far as vintage cards go. A crescent confectionery Jones sold for over 10K after the juice in an auction back in 2013. I think that may have been when Jack Zugay sold his collection in an REA auction.
A PSA 9 U.S. caramel Jones from the 1932 set sold for over 52K in November of 2016. I think at one time the Tiger SIFK was stupid, but as more cards including his 2001 Sp Authentic Rookie autograph came out, that card cooled off considerably...vintage Jones cards haven't. |
cool
seems like some of the under-collected sport super stars are getting some love... nice to see (especially if you acquired them in the past)
|
holy cow ...
|
I guess I will be happy with my PSA 7 then!
And that's the crazy thing about grading - my PSA 7 looks solid and runs $500-ish. A 30x jump to go from a 7 to a 9 seems insane! |
This is awesome! It's really nice to see cards that are not from the big four selling for high prices.
|
wow! prices sure have gone up since I sold most of my stuff :D
