3 Attachment(s)
I WENT TO THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS / OAKLAND A'S WORLD SERIES
GAME 3 AT CANDLESTICK PARK - BATTLE OF THE BAY HAD BASEBALL COMMISSIONER FAY VINCENT AUTOGRAPH AND DATE A BASEBALL FOR ME. OCTOBER 17, 1989 - THEN THE EARTHQUAKE - GAME CANCELLED. I WENT BACK FOR THE RE-SCHEDULED GAME 10 DAYS LATER. FOUND COMMISSIONER VINCENT AND HAD HIM SIGN ANOTHER BASEBALL. HE SIGNED IT "GAME 3 (2) OCT 27,1989" A VERY UNIQUE PAIR OF AUTOGRAPHED BASEBALLS - I WOULD GUESS THE ONLY ONES OF THEIR TYPE IN EXISTENCE. Jerry Sage jssage24@yahoo.com |
Was driving down El Camino Real with the game on the radio when the pavement started undulating. An all-time WTF!! Moment. McGwire to Canseco to Loma Prieta . . words that were heavy with nothing but trouble for my Giants.

Giants lost their mojo between the NLCS and the WS. I sat with Jose Uribe's extended family for all three SF games of the NLCS. OOO-ribay!!

I went to Game 2 in Oakland. Was playing wiffle ball when the earthquake hit in San Jose.

My first wife and I were on our honeymoon in Bermuda. We were at the hotel next to ours as they showed movies each night. As we walked out of the movie there was a big screen television in the foyer showing the game. We walked by just as the cameras started shaking.

At the game
My wife and I were at the game. Got the tickets from Dick Dobbins. We had flown up that morning just for the game from Los Angeles.
