FS: 1952 Bowman Willie Mays - SOLD
2 Attachment(s)
All forms of payment accepted. PM over post.
I have a strange one here. A REAL 1952 Bowman Willie Mays. Would probably grade a PSA 4-5 if not for one thing... it's laminated. Both sides too. I don't know why someone would have done this but it is what it is. It's like a credit card or driver's license. You can keep it in your wallet and show it to the cops, maybe they will let you go with a warning "slow it down Mr. Mays"! All kidding aside, it's the real deal, just entombed in plastic forever. I really don't know what to ask so I'll start at: SOLD and see where we end up. Certainly a conversation piece! Thanks for looking, Tony |
Tony, the price is a bit rich for me (not that it is not worth $200 - I just can’t pull the trigger...). I have to tell you though, I belly laughed at your post and the idea of handing the laminated Mays card to the police officer and have him hand it back and says “sorry Mr. Mays”. Good luck with the sale. . Of course, it is about break even for every speeding ticket - $150 for a speeding ticket versus a shoulder shrug and “sorry, Mr. Mays”. Someone is going to get a bargain!
