53 Musial custom opinion
After much trial and error I have, I think, come up with acceptable versions of the two best players missing from the 53 set. Musial and Williams. I have two versions of Musial. Any opinion would be appreciated.

Those all look great.
I personally like the middle Musial the best. |
Bravo, Scott. I agree, the middle Musial is by far the best, and fits most closely with how Topps portrayed the players that year. The Ted Williams is terrific as well. Would love to buy the pair, if you're doing several of each. Regardless, well done, bro.:D --- Brian Powell

The Ted is AWESOME! I like the Stan on the left better. Plus you could Billy Ripken the end of the bat.:D

Very impressive Scott! Not to be too picky, but Stan looks like a righty on the card on the left, and he was a left handed hitter. Could the bat be moved to the other shoulder? Regardless, stellar work.

Take three?

I like him as a righty!

I agree they are amazing. Another vote for the Musial in the middle.

Obsessing over Stan...

The bat on his left shoulder now places his mole on his right chin.

I'd go with the middle portrait in the OP, or the far right portrait in the second image. The head and shoulders portraits better match the rest of the set, which only had different style images on some cards in series 3 and 4 (and Elmer Valo in series 2). Really hard to go wrong though, these look great!

Were the actual portraits created by you, or are they grabs from somewhere?
|
They're all from somewhere. Both the bat on shoulder and turtleneck Musial come from his ’52 Bowman card. One of them is his Red Man card. The backgrounds come from other ’53 Topps cards. All I did was find the heads bodies and the bodies backgrounds.
