1961 Fleer Basketball

I've got a friend that has a very nice 1962 Fleer Basketball set that he is likely looking to sell. The set is ungraded, some cards are off centered, but as a whole the set is high grade. Does anyone here specialize in these cards? What is the going rate for this set?

Thanks!

Ethan

It's all going to depend on the key rookies, I don't think there is a going rate for the set as there is so much variability of centering within it.

Agreed. Well, he doesn't want to get every card graded, but the Wilt C is centered pretty well and looks fairly sharp.

Any HOFer with a chance for 7 (no qualifiers) or higher is probably worth the grading fee. That is still probably a set where low pop commons matter too. If it's NM or better I would not sell that set raw because most likely he'll end up wholesaling it to someone who will grade it at a huge profit. Just my two cents.

Cool. So if all cards were between EX and NM what would the going rate be?

I can't quote you a number. PM me and I would be glad to put your friend in touch with a friend of mine who buys for a living.
