Newspaper Collection - World Series 1905, 10,11,12,13,14,16, 17,19,20,21,25,28 ++
Is there a newspaper collector out there? I bought a large baseball memorabilia collection a few years ago. Included in the collection were newspaper sports sections featuring all games from the following World Series: 1905, 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914, 1916, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1925, 1928, 1935 & 1944. The city newspapers vary from year to year and are not from the team cities playing in the series. Is there anyone interested in this collection? Let me know. Thank you. Jim

Hi All...Well now I know that there are collectors interested in old newspapers. I'm headed off for a week on vacation starting Wednesday and probably shouldn't have posted about these papers...bad timing. I don't have the time to answer the questions coming into me before I leave. I'll post more details when I return. Thank you. Jim

It's taken me awhile but I've dug out and photographed a set of 1912 newspapers covering the 1912 World Series. There are 24 individual pages including cover pages for all games.
I've put this set on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/123351629624 Also listed an October 5, 1905 issue of the Detroit News Tribune with the Tigers on the front page, including Ty Cobb, only 3 months into his major league career. |

I just dug out the 1911 World Series papers, Chicago Examiner, also include some great coverage of the Chicago City Championship between the White Sox and Cubbies.
Posting the 1905 Series papers on Ebay later this week. |
Beautiful 1911 Chicago Examiner coverage added to ebay also.
