I thought I had seen it all re: auction shipping charges...
Until I won 1 card with a $31 bid ($36 including buyers premium) and the MINIMUM shipping option offered was $20!! 55% premium for shipping one lousy card that I ship and get shipped all year long for $3-$5. I did call and the auction company offered to cut it in half ($10 - 27% premium ) IF I was open to having the card shipped USPS - which I first questioned and after being told this was the "best" they could do - accepted.
Yes - I should have read about the shipping policies and charges in advance Yes - I communicated so and do not intend to bid with the company again (my first time bidding in their sports auction). Yes - after this post I will let it go and move on to more important things in my day/life. Just wanted all to know and beware - the name of this company - Sportscardlink Howard Chasser Edited to add - after paying by phone - I was instructed to check back in with them if I don't have my card within 2 weeks - indeed! |
Darn it Howard, you preempted all the good advice you were going to get :)

Thank you for the heads up. Sorry that happened.
