1950's brooklyn dodgers ball ....Real???
7 Attachment(s)
I would love to buy the ball but have some doubts as to the autographs. The Jackie Robinson one appears to not be real since he never signs above Campy.
any thoughts on the rest of the autographs? thanks. |
I think it's a full-on Charlie the Brow work. I have one pretty much just like it that I'm convinced he did the whole ball. It's a shame too, as my ball is gorgeous but likely a gorgeous forgery.
For me the R's P's and W's all have too much similarity with each other and the Jackie/Campy together is usually the tell for most. Interested to hear other's opinions. |
Clubhouse, Robinson, Campy and Erskin on the panel was his signature tell.
|
Definitely Clubhouse. Anytime Robinson, Campy and Erskine are on the same panel in that order it's definitely a clubhouse ball
|
How much do The Brow's balls go for? I know there's actually a bit of a market for them due to his "fame"
|
Dodger Ball
Definitely clubhouse. Jackie, Campy, Oisk is the key.
The Brow's autograph balls do sell. $100-150. The only time they sell for more is if someone is buying to try to resell as "real". |
