Need Help identifying issue for Musial and Kaline premiums
I'd love to find out what each of these are. They were purchased from the same seller around a year ago, but I haven't figured out what they are. They could be two separate issues, but I don't know. Both are blank backed and paper stock. Please help.

Musial is 1949 Big League Publications All Star Picture Pack. Kaline looks like a team issue but I am not sure.
|
Kaline is a 1961 Manny's Land Baseball card.

Thanks for the help, boys! I knew I could count on the board to help me out.
I was thinking that Kaline looked a little young to be issued in 1961, but you’re probably right. |
Kaline
Kaline is NOT a manny land

Okay, back to square one on Kaline.
With respect to Musial, is the 1949 Big League Publications All Star Picture Pack the same as the set in the auction below? If so, are there two different styles of Musial? In the link below, he is pictured batting. Not sure if they are the same "issue". http://jul12.hugginsandscott.com/pl/...photo_pack.jpg |
The Musial photo is un-cataloged. It is the same photo as the 1947 Bond Bread. I've only seen a couple, I called it a Bond Bread Premium. If memory serves correct, it was about 6x8"?
The Musial AS Photo Pack is identified correctly in the photo with the envelope and 8 others pictured. Larry is correct about Kaline not being a Manny's. Mannys have the players name in black print at the bottom of photo. |
Hmmm, looks like I'm wrong that it's a 1961 Manny's Baseball Land photo. Sorry!
One other observation ... look at this Manny's Land Podres: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1961-Mannys...IAAOSw4ahbHsP- It's the same photo as his 1953 Topps RC. So clearly they used old photos in 1961 to make these. Cheers, Patrick |
