I shudder to think what this card would have graded if I had submitted it

The expression on Chuck's face says it all.

Damn......maybe the stains resurfaced after the card was encased?

Nice reprint

Easily handled: just state the price for a PSA 5 and I'm sure you'll move that card in no time.

That's has to be ink splatter on the scanner bed. No way in a million yrs.

Is this card actually real? It looks like an artificially aged rp!
|
That's a solid 1.

That's not a scanned image - you can see a shadow of the person taking the picture. The image has also been taken at an angle. Scanned images are always 100% flat.
I see two possible scenarios here: One - it's an older PSA flip, and standards were different then. It's possible that staining like this didn't automatically bring a card below a 3. Two - the stains were considerably lighter when it was graded, and have darkened since. Or, it's actually mold that has continued to grow and spread. |
Accurate grading...this is the gunk coming out of the ear variation.

I guess it's real
BTW, this is not a current offering - I found it on VCP as selling a few months ago. So all you guys can stop frantically searching for it on ebay :D

I submit a decent amount
I submit a decent amount and I’d expect a 1. Looks like it must’ve been an older grade when they were far more lenient especially on the low end. Could also be a mold issue but looks more like ink or something then mold.
