'52 Topps Mantle
I think most of us know that the PSA 9 Topps '52 of The Mick went for a huge number at auction But who among us know what Mantle's salary was for the 1952 season? I do because I read it in the paper this morning.

Probably around $10,000.

The Mick made the princely sum of $7,500 in '52. He probably made twice that signing autographs at card shows many years later.
