In looking at the T206 SLers, I have seen that 20 of the subjects have Coupon backs as well. Am I correct in saying that these 20 players are the same 20 players listed on the Southern Association checklist on T206resource.com? Thank you.

TedZ

Ted Z has a great thread here on the T213-1s. Post #22 specifically discusses the 20 Southern Leaguers.

Thanks, Rob. I will explore that. The 20 names match, so that is a good start!

Southern Association

I get a "kick" out of playing a card games with t e 1910 COUPON (T213-1) cards of the Southern Association by combining them with other tobacco
brands. For example, shown here is my whimsical run of Greminger's cards......

And, why not include a brown OLD MILL (with Factory #649 overprint) card of Greminger....... http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...fact649x25.jpg

OK, I need Greminger's 1910 COUPON card to fill-out this run. If anyone reading this has a T213-1 Greminger for sale, email me.... tedzan11@comcast.net

Another challenge completes a "Quadruplicate" subset which includes the 1910 COUPON of your favorite player from the 20 subjects in the Southern Association.

Ted Breitenstein is my favorite Southern Leaguer in the T206 set. Here's my Quadruplicate sub-set of Ted.

Ted, I was hoping you would jump in! Thank you for posting pics of those cards. Those are real goals for me. I am pointed in the direction of the SLers, and I want to include those Coupon backs if I can find any of course. Living in the South, I have become fascinated by these cards. It will take years to really build up, but all in due time. I am going to savor the journey! Once again, I find myself wishing I was your son! :D

Nice cards. Any particular reason for choosing Scoops?

He attended my alma mater, West Virginia University. There was one other player in the T206 set that did, Woodie Thornton. Yup, two SLers. I would love if there'd been a "regular" player with a bunch of different backs instead of just the four. Would have been a fun project acquiring more of them. I'll work on the Thornton run in the future.
