Humidity Levels
Hey All,
I love seeing some of everyone's collection. I know that humidity for a signed ball is a no-no and the lower the better. I'm just wondering how 'low' people have for their humidity levels to avoid bleeding of baseballs signed with blue bic ink. I was moving last year and I stored some balls in the upstairs above the garage for a few months. After moving, I noticed some of the balls had bled. Only some, even if they were signed the same day. I'm not sure if it was the same pen though but I always use a bic either fine pt or medium pt. Just wondering though what people recommend for a humidity level in a room, with no UV light?? Thanks so much. Jeff |
For paper collectibles, relative humidity between 40 - 65 with a temperature around 65 - 70 degrees is recommended. I assume that a leather ball would have the same general recommendations.
