GU Yankees Cap Experts Please Help
So... Somewhere in the dim recesses of this 66-year-old mind lies the history of this cap. But I'll be damned if I can remember anything about it. I emailed MEARS, since it bears their sticker, but no reply.
Can anyone provide any info as to the approximate years this style and manufacturer cap was in use? Thanks! PS: The cap is available. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...psngl4mnzd.jpg http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...psjd0mmdey.jpg http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ps3n2660nm.jpg http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ps4ndjem95.jpg |
I think that style of New Era flag logo tag was use in the early to mid 2000s.

could be Ted Lilly (who wore #61 during that time period)

That specific tagging indicates game-use from 2002 - 2004. See the link below...
http://ballcapblog.blogspot.com/2010...-cap-tags.html No rostered players wore # 61 during 2002 or 2003. So if it's from one of those years, it could be a Spring Training example or a Coach's Cap. In 2004, two players wore # 61 for the Yankees.... Brad Halsey and Juan Padilla. So most likely, it belonged to one of those two players. Hope this helps, Mark |
Thanks all. Much appreciated.
